Meet Samuel Clemens - the man who became Mark Twain. We also welcome questions about Twain's life and works.

 Visiting the Museum


Plan a memorable visit to the place where Sam Clemens grew up along the Mississippi River. We maintain 8 historic buildings, including the Boyhood Home, a National Historic Landmark. Group rates are available. School and tour groups are welcome. We are open year-round, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). 



We have everything you need for teaching and learning about the life and works of Mark Twain. More than 100 free lesson plans are available along with resources and a scavenger hunt for your field trip to the Museum. Don't play hooky! Your Mark Twain education begins right here!
