Grammy Award-winner Carl Jackson to Perform at Mark Twain: Words & Music CD Release Party

Tuesday, September 20th at 9 p.m.

The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum is pleased to once again welcome multiple Grammy Award-winning musician Carl Jackson to the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum stage on Tuesday, September 20 at 9 p.m. Jackson will be performing at the Museum Gallery in honor of the release of Mark Twain: Words & Music, which he produced. The public is invited to attend. Tickets are available at the Mark Twain Museum Gallery for $25.

The double-CD tells the story of Twain’s life in spoken word and song and will be officially released that evening at midnight. Cost is $18.95.  The CD includes a 40-page booklet of liner notes.

“To be eligible for a Grammy, the CD had to have a street date of September 30th or sooner, and this was the date Carl was available.  We couldn’t have a party without him, so we hope everyone will come out and help us ring in the new CD,” said Cindy Lovell, director of the Museum and co-executive producer of the project.

The CD Release Party will benefit the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum. Guests will get to hear the CD, enjoy a special performance by Carl Jackson and friends and partake in drinks and appetizers. In addition, Main Street’s newest business, Chocolaterie Stam, will serve samples of fine European chocolate and gelato.
