Mark Twain Museum Receives Clifford Willard Gaylord Foundation Grant

The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum in Hannibal recently received a $2,000 grant from the Clifford Willard Gaylord Foundation.  The Foundation is located in St. Louis, Missouri and has supported the Museum in the past. The grant will be used to support operations at the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum.

“This type of support means a great deal to us,” said Museum director, Dr. Cindy Lovell.  “The downward economy has impacted our operations budget, and the continued support of the Clifford Willard Gaylord Foundation will help to ensure programs in the new year.”

The Museum is celebrating 2010 as “The Year of Mark Twain” as it marks the 100th anniversary of Twain’s death and the 175th anniversary of his birth.  Plans are underway for various programs and events throughout the year.  Full details are available at www.marktwainmuseum.org.
