A Symposium for ALL People
Film #2: "Keeping One's Place: A Testimonial by Ridgley Pierson"
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Mark Twain Museum is proud to host the Hannibal Racial Justice Film Symposia. This community initiative is brought to you with support from the Community Partnership for Reconciliation (CPR), Hannibal School District #60, the University of Missouri and the Mark Twain Museum. These symposia will feature a related film followed by conversation on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Each symposium provides insight into the causes of racism and the negative impact it has on a community. We will discuss tools we can use to eliminate racism in our community.
The evening will include viewing the film and joining in conversation regarding community efforts to eradicate racism in our community.
The event is FREE and open to the public.
