Mark Twain CD a Favorite on Amazon

Mark Twain: Words & Music, the double-CD produced by Grammy award-winner Carl Jackson as a benefit for the Mark Twain Museum, has enjoyed more than 25 days in the Top 100 Country Music Sales on Amazon since its release in September.  It has ranked as high as #2 in Bluegrass on Amazon and as high as #31 in Country in Amazon sales.  The CD was released on the Mailboat Records label.

Jimmy Buffett, The Church Sisters, Sheryl Crow, Joe Diffie, Clint Eastwood, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Carl Jackson, Garrison Keillor, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Angela Lovell, Brad Paisley, Marty Raybon, Ricky Skaggs, Val Storey, Rhonda Vincent, and Bradley Walker are the artists who lent their voices to the project, which tells Twain's life in spoken word and song.  The CD is available at the Museum and other outlets.

"We are excited at the public's response to the CD," said museum director Cindy Lovell.  "People are telling us that after they've heard it they've decided to order several copies for gifts, which is likely impacting the numbers on Amazon and elsewhere."  Lovell said that Mailboat Records is working on a global distribution plan.
