Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum hires new Marketing and Community Relations Manager
The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum has added a new member to its team. Ryan Murray, a native of Hunnewell, Missouri recently accepted the position of Marketing and Community Relations Manager. The position was previously held by Megan Rapp, who now serves as the Assistant Director & Group Sales Manager for the Hannibal Convention and Visitors Bureau.Murray holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg where he majored in public relations with an emphasis in tourism management.
“We are pleased to have Ryan at the Museum,” said interim director, Dr. Cindy Lovell. “His credentials and experiences fit perfectly with our needs. I believe Ryan will do an excellent job promoting Mark Twain, the Museum and Hannibal. He has already offered many enthusiastic ideas on how to promote the Museum.”
Murray will also coordinate the marketing projects at the Museum and will manage the Mark Twain Museum Volunteer Program. The volunteer program is open to any person aged 15 to 115.
“I am quite excited and honored to have the privilege to work with such an amazing group of people,” said Murray. “They all have a passion for what they do and a united love of Mark Twain. I think this is the perfect place for me.”
The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum is located at 120 North Main Street in Hannibal, Missouri. The mission of the Mark Twain Home Foundation is to promote awareness and appreciation of the life and works of Mark Twain and to demonstrate the relevance of his stories and ideas to citizens of the world.
